The field of Ethnic Studies was born out of, and is dedicated to, struggles for social justice for all people. The Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder draws on this tradition of engaged scholarship to examine how race and the interrelated categories of ethnicity, gender, class, indigeneity, and sexuality impact the lives of people in the United States and around the globe.
