Tickets include live entertainment, a Senegalese meal, and one free wine, well, or draft drink. There will be games, prizes, and a silent auction.

Proceeds will provide Senegalese children with educational supplies for a full year. African Heritage Celebration formed in response to a 1997 Denver tragedy where Oumar Dia, an ex-pat from Senegal working as a bellhop at the downtown Hyatt, was shot and killed in an unprovoked hate crime while waiting for a bus after work.
