About this Event

You Have an Impact – Breaking the Africa Stereotype

Africans make critical contributions to the world. You know it. We know it. Americans are engaged in diverse business and friendships across the 54 African countries of Africa and here at in America. But the realities get lost behind a curtain of invisibility. As a result, we are wasting an incredible wealth of social and economic opportunities. We need to break the stereotypes that hold us back. Imagine what we could do if more people were inspired to get involved and take advantage of them.

The 2019 Africa Agenda Summit is dedicated to providing tools, ideas and inspiration that can help all of us to make an impact in telling a new story that opens up collaboration and mutual investment.

As we have for the last several years, we will facilitate nourishing dinner table conservations with leaders from media, academia, business and non-profit who are already making a difference. In this meeting of the minds, you will invent and learn about new ways to pull the curtain of invisibility back. It is a once-a-year chance to learn and meet others who are committed to breaking the stereotypes to make new win-win paradigms for the world.

Together we can do this! We hope you can make it for dialogue and great food – and a little dancing thrown in – because there are many ways to connect!

Dinner Provided by DELICE- AFRO CARIBBEAN CUISINE
