Conservation Conversation

March 27, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Come learn about wildlife conservation efforts across the globe from Jemu Mwenda, a conservationist and ecologist from Africa. He will be showing unreleased footage from his upcoming documentary, followed by a discussion about the big game conservation crisis in Kenya and how this impacts built environments for human societies. This will be followed by a lecture given by Girija Kulkarni on wildlife conservation in Colorado, particularly the ever-pertinent issue of grey wolf reintroduction. Gabriela Lana will close out the talk and speakers will be followed up by a student facilitated panel discussion. Submit your questions and RSVP at the link at the bottom of the post! This event is tri institutional, free of charge, and open to the public so please invite anyone and everyone! The focus is to spread the word about the importance of wildlife conservation and give people avenues to get involved.
